Spicy Fish Tacos

Lettuce leaves stand in for tortillas in these Spicy Fish Tacos! Crisp and flavorful, they’re a delicious and healthy meal perfect for kids (or anyone else!).

Spicy Fish Tacos

Ingredients

  • 3 whitefish fillets
  • 1/2 tsp  sea salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper to taste
  • lime juice from 2 limes, divided
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cloves  garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 8 lettuce or cabbage leaves
  • 4 cups red cabbge approximately 1/2 head, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red onion minced
  • 2 avocado sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F or prepare grill to cook fish.
  2. Place fillets in glass baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper.
  4. Drizzle with juice from one lime and oil.
  5. Flip fillets to coat both sides.
  6. Top with garlic and turmeric.
  7. Bake fish for about 20 minutes until flaky or grill.
  8. Prepare lettuce leaves on plates and flake fish equally on lettuce.
  9. Top with onion, avocado and cilantro.
  10. Drizzle with remaining lime juice and garnish with lime wedge.
